Which needle is bigger – Steroid or HA injection?

by | Knee, Latest News, Lower Limb

A common theme we hear at our Chesterfield clinic, near the peak district is that patients are worried about the size of the needle for injection and that a HA injection must be bigger. The needle is very fine and is often half the size of what people think – most people are pleasantly surprised! There is no difference for the Ostenil, Durolane (Hyaluronic acid) or steroid injections we can reassure everyone! If you want to see the needle you can or choose to look away; in our experience some people still have their eyes shut waiting for the injection and we have finished not feeling anything!
